Trees and forests play a crucial role in mitigating climate change. They are natural carbon sinks, absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere during photosynthesis and storing carbon in their biomass and soil. Large-scale deforestation, which involves the removal of trees and forests has the opposite effect.

CO2 equivalent (CO2e) is a measure of the global warming potential of different greenhouse gases. As GHG emissions blanket the Earth, they trap the sun’s heat. Calculated by converting the emissions of each gas into an equivalent amount of C02, based on the gas’s GWP.
Ocean plays crucial role in sustaining life on Earth, contributing to 50% of oxygen, absorbing 25% of CO2 emissions, and a primary carbon sink, mitigating climate change impacts.
